Blue Lake Pole Bean is a productive climbing variety known for its smooth, stringless pods and excellent flavour. The dark green beans are tender, meaty, and typically grow 15–18 cm (6–7") long.

This variety has a long harvest window and will continue producing fresh beans throughout the season as long as the pods are picked regularly. Blue Lake also has a slightly stronger flavour than the bush form, making it a favourite for fresh eating, cooking, and preserving.

Because the vines grow tall, be sure to provide a pole, trellis, or other sturdy support.
