Salad Bowl Lettuce is a classic looseleaf heirloom known for its large, lime-green rosettes and distinctive oakleaf-shaped foliage. The frilly, deeply cut leaves have excellent flavour and texture, adding plenty of loft and character to salads.

This variety is especially valued for its strong resistance to bolting and bitterness during summer. It also grows quickly in cool weather, making it a great choice for spring cold frames, early-season gardens, and patio containers near the kitchen.

Dating back to 1952, Salad Bowl earned an All-America Selections Award and has also received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
