Tamarindo Organic lettuce seeds are CERTIFIED ORGANIC! A new red loose-leaf variety with improved texture and yield. Dark red coloured leaves with an erect growing habit make it ideal for growing to baby leaf stage for salad mixes. This variety has excellent flavour. Tamarindo lettuce has a high resistance to downy mildew races 1-26 & 28, and did not show any tipburn in our trials. Sow Tamarindo organic lettuce seeds densely in trays under artificial light for baby leaf salad greens in only 35 days. If you are a small scale grower and can find some restaurants to supply, baby leaf lettuce production is a good way to earn some income through the winter. For the home gardener, it means an unlimited supply of tasty, fresh salad greens.
