Poppy - Black Peony (Seeds)

Black Peony Poppy is a dramatic annual variety prized for its exceptionally deep purple blooms. The fully double, peony-shaped flowers are packed with layers of petals, creating a rich and striking display in sunny garden beds and borders.

Individual flowers can reach approximately 10 cm (4") across. While each bloom lasts only a short time, plants continue producing flowers from July through September for an extended season of colour.

After flowering, the decorative seed heads make an excellent addition to dried arrangements. The seeds are also edible and can be used in baking. Black Peony is highly attractive to bees while offering good resistance to browsing deer.
