Scabiosa - Paper Moon (Seeds)

Paper Moon Scabiosa is a unique variety grown as much for its decorative seed pods as for its flowers. Small, pale blue blooms develop into distinctive papery seed heads measuring approximately 4 cm (1.5") across, each with an eye-catching star-shaped pattern.

These unusual seed pods are especially popular for fresh and dried bouquets, where they add texture and interest unlike most other cut flowers. For the best results, harvest the seed heads when the star-shaped centres are just beginning to turn black. If left too long and allowed to fully darken, the heads may begin to shatter.

Plants grow to approximately 45 cm (18") tall and are a great choice for cutting gardens and dried flower arrangements.
