Thyme - English (Seeds)

Winter Thyme is a hardy, woody evergreen herb that gradually spreads over the years, forming an attractive and useful addition to herb gardens, borders, and containers. Its small pink flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.

The aromatic leaves are a classic ingredient in Mediterranean cooking, teas, potpourri, and bouquet garni. Thyme also dries very well. Simply cut sprigs, tie them in small bundles, and hang them out of direct sunlight before stripping the dried leaves from the stems for storage.

Plants are drought tolerant once established and perform well in containers and xeriscape-style gardens. Cutting plants back by about one-third at the end of the season helps encourage fresh spring growth and flowering.
