Turnips - Hakurei (Seeds)

Hakurei Turnip is a gourmet Japanese variety known for its smooth, snow-white roots, crisp texture, and excellent flavour. The uniform, globe-shaped roots are tender enough to enjoy fresh, making them especially popular for salads and snacking.

The smooth, dark green tops are also edible and can be used fresh or cooked. For a continuous harvest from spring through fall, sow short rows at regular intervals rather than planting the entire crop at once.

Hakurei is fast maturing and can remain in the garden quite late into fall. If frost is expected, protect plants with row cover or harvest the remaining roots for cool, dry storage.
