Description

Heirloom Vegetable. This Indian mustard produces large, upright plants with deeply frilled, finely cut leaves that are medium green colour. Sow in early spring for summer greens or late summer for fall greens. Avoid sowing during prolonged periods of hot weather. Irrigation is advisable for best growth. Try successive plantings about every other week. Sow into drills forming rows. Thin plants to about a hand width apart. Use thinnings as baby salad greens. Southern Giant Curled Mustard is an All America Selections winner from 1935.

How to Grow

Similar to other members of the Brassica family. Sow seeds in early spring or in mid August about 2.5 cm (1″) apart and 8-15 mm (1/4-1/2″) deep in rows 60 cm (24″).
