Stevia is a unique herb best known for its naturally sweet leaves. Often called the “sugar plant,” the leaves contain intensely sweet compounds and can be harvested fresh for a surprising sugar-like taste.

Plants grow to approximately 60 cm (24") tall and perform well in both garden beds and containers. Small white flowers appear at the tips of branching stems, adding extra interest later in the season.

For best growth, plant Stevia in a warm, sunny location with fertile, well-drained soil. The leaves can be harvested throughout the growing season for fresh use or drying.
