Soapwort - Saponaria (Seeds)
Approx. 110 seeds/pkg.
Description
Small, pretty pink flowers .5" across smother the low, semi-evergreen spreading plants. A perfect plant for hot, full sun areas, walls and rockeries. Flowers from early to mid-June through July. If desired, you can trim plants after flowering to induce fall flowers. Grows to a mature height of 4-6". Perennial hardy to Zone 3.
How to Grow
Start indoors in a soil-less mix in March using peat pots (as this perennial dislikes transplanting) for easy transplanting to the garden in later May. Even better - sow directly outdoors in early May or late fall. Cover seed with a fine sifting of soil and keep moist during the germination period.
