Description

Heirloom Vegetable. Variety originated in USA. Compact yet sturdy plants 45 cm (18”) tall produce eye catching bright yellow 12.5 cm (5”) long pods. Fantastic rich flavour makes this bean a great choice for fresh eating. A superb selection for freezing or canning. Matures in 55 days.

How to Grow

Direct sow every 10 days in a sunny spot from late May to mid-July once the ground has warmed to at least 18°C (65°F). Germination typically occurs in 5-12 days.

Planting Depth: 2.5 cm (1”). Seed Spacing: 7.5 cm (3”). Row Width: 60 cm (24”).

COMMENTS: Beans do best in deep, well drained organic soil. Avoid disturbing beans when foliage is wet. Bean seed will rot rapidly when planted in soil that is colder than recommended.
