Seed Tape - Mesclun Mixture

Description

The ultimate in salad greens and lettuces all combined into one special blend. This mix contains mixed lettuces, cress, pak choi, beets, Swiss chard and parsley. Heat tolerant and vitamin rich – a winning combination.

How to Grow

In a sunny site with deep, organic, well draining soil sow successive crops every 2 weeks from early spring to early summer as long as the temperature remains cool. Lay out the tape in the desired spot and cover with 6 mm (1/4″) of soil. Keep rows 45 cm (18″) apart. Keep the seedbed evenly moist during the 7 to 10 day germination period. For best seedling emergence avoid crusting over the soil when the seeds are sprouting. Thin seedlings to 5 cm (2″) apart – thinnings can be used as baby greens. Late summer crops can also be attempted.
