Blue Lake Pole Bean is a highly productive climbing variety known for its smooth, stringless pods and excellent flavour. The dark green beans grow 15–18 cm (6–7") long and have a tender, meaty texture with a stronger flavour than the bush form.

This variety has a long harvest window and will continue producing fresh pods throughout the season as long as the beans are picked regularly. It is especially popular in the Prairies and other short-season growing regions thanks to its reliable productivity.

Because the vines grow tall, provide a pole, trellis, or other sturdy support for climbing.
