Kentucky Blue Pole Bean is an award-winning climbing variety that combines the excellent flavour of Kentucky Wonder with the cool-season hardiness of Blue Lake. It produces long, straight, dark green pods over an extended harvest period.

The tender, round pods are best harvested when they reach approximately 15–18 cm (6–7") long. Plants can grow up to 2.5 m (8') tall, so a sturdy pole, trellis, or other support is recommended.

Bred by Dr. Calvin Lamborn, Kentucky Blue has remained a popular choice for gardeners thanks to its reliable productivity, excellent flavour, and ability to perform well in cooler growing conditions.
