Celery - Amsterdam Leaf (Seeds)
Heirloom Vegetable. Variety originated in Greece. Attractive compact bushy plants with small hollow stems. Leaves are curled, highly aromatic and stronger tasting than stalk celery. Used as a garnish and for flavouring in soups, stews and many other slow cooking dishes. Matures in 60-80 days.
How to Grow
Sow seeds indoors in a sterile growing medium 4-6 weeks before plant out or sow direct outdoors in mid-May as long as weather is cool.
Planting Depth: 6 mm (1/4”). Seed Spacing: 2.5 cm (1”). Thin to: 20 cm (8”). Row Width: 50 cm (20”).
COMMENTS: Fantastic plant for the kitchen container garden. Keep soil evenly watered. Some afternoon shade beneficial in hot summer areas. Leaves can be used both fresh and dried.
