Chicory - Culinary Blend (Seeds)
Heirloom Vegetables. Varieties originated in Italy. A colourful eye catching blend of leaf and both round and sugar-loaf head types. Makes for crunchy, succulent salads. Blend includes Batavian Endive, Red Verona, Treviso and Sugar Loaf chicories. Matures in 70-80 days.
How to Grow
Direct sow seed in a sunny spot every two weeks from early spring to early summer or later in summer for a fall crop.
Planting Depth: 6 mm (1/4”). Seed Spacing: 2.5 cm (1”). Thin to: 30 cm (12”). Row Width: 45 cm (18”)
COMMENTS: Peak taste and texture when leaves and stalks are young. Best growth occurs in cool weather.
