Description
Varieties originated in the UK. Brightly coloured fruit with a mildly hot fruity flavour. Pointed, bright lime-green fruit 2.5 cm (1″) long by 1.5 cm (2/3″) wide mature to bright red or yellow. Superb fresh in salads or pickled. Compact growth habit. A great kitchen container garden plant with often 50 or more fruit on a single plant when grown in a 25-30 cm (10-12″) pot. Ornamental and edible too! Matures in 70-75 days.
How to Grow
Start seeds indoors in a sterile medium at 24 C (75 F) 10-12 weeks before plant out time. Grow seedlings on under bright light at 21°C (70°F) before hardening off and transplanting outside in a sunny site after the danger of frost has passed. Seed typically germinates in 14-21 days.
Planting Depth: 6 mm (1/4”). Seed Spacing: 6 cm (2.5”). Thin to: 35 cm (14”). Row Width: 60 cm (24”).
COMMENTS: Keep soil evenly watered. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers. Scoville Heat Unit Rating: 2000
