Cucumber - Socrates Organic F1 (Seeds)

Socrates Organic Cucumber is a sweet, crunchy Beit Alpha-type variety specially bred to perform well in cooler conditions and lower light levels. It is an excellent choice for early spring and fall growing, while also performing well in greenhouses, polytunnels, and outdoor gardens.

This parthenocarpic variety can produce fruit without pollination, resulting in smooth, seedless cucumbers under protected growing conditions. Later in the season, seeds may develop if pollination occurs.

Socrates is highly productive and offers good resistance to scab and powdery mildew. For the straightest fruits, grow the vines on a trellis and allow the cucumbers to hang freely as they develop.
