Lancia Organic Leek is a very early, flavourful variety that is ideal for summer and early fall harvests. Also sometimes known as Swiss Giant, it produces long white shanks with strong, upright foliage and excellent uniformity in the garden.

This versatile leek can be harvested at full size or picked young for tender gourmet baby leeks. Its reliable growth and rich leek flavour make it a great choice for home gardeners.

For best results, start seeds indoors or in an outdoor seed bed. Once seedlings reach approximately 20 cm (8") tall, gently transplant them into fertile, humus-rich soil.

The seeds are coated with an inert, organically certified layer to help reduce clumping during storage and sowing. The coating is approved for organic production in Canada, the United States, the European Union, and Japan.
