PRODUCT DETAILS

Coastal Star Organic Romaine Lettuce is a tall, dark green variety that performs especially well in spring and fall, and can continue into winter with protection from hard frost. It matures early and produces upright, tightly packed heads with tender, blanched hearts and a pleasant lettuce flavour.

Plants average approximately 30 cm (12") tall. The upright growth keeps even the outer wrapper leaves lifted off the soil, helping reduce problems with bottom rot and keeping heads cleaner at harvest.

Coastal Star also offers high resistance to corky root and is supplied as pelleted seed for easier handling and more precise sowing.
