Conservor Organic Shallot is a flavourful, dark-skinned variety with high shoulders, a rounded base, and a high percentage of large, single bulbs. Its rich flavour is similar to traditional French shallots, with a little extra heat that works especially well in fish, egg, and savoury dishes.

Seeds can be direct sown from February to March or started indoors under bright lights for transplanting in late April to early May. When well cured and properly stored, the bulbs can keep for approximately four to five months.

The seeds are coated with an inert, organically approved graphite coating that helps reduce clumping during storage and sowing. The coating is approved for organic production in Canada, the United States, the European Union, and Japan.
