Ornamental Grass - Blue Fescue (Seeds)
Description
Dense mounded clumps of blue-grey leaves that are rather stiff and needle-like, yet very attractive. Lends a nice cooling effect to the garden. Grass blades reach 25 cm (10″) in height. This is one of the best ornamental grasses anywhere! Very drought tolerant once established. Perennial reliably hardy to Zone 4.
How to Grow
Start indoors in a soil-less mix in March or directly garden sow early May or late fall (mid October through mid-November). Indoors, germinate at 20 C (70 F) for 10 to 15 days. After germination occurs, grow on under lights before hardening off and transplanting to the garden 20 cm (8″) apart. Thrives in sandy, stony soils.
