Hungarian Hot Wax Pepper is an early, productive hot pepper variety known for its bright yellow fruits and dependable performance, even in cooler summer conditions. The smooth, waxy peppers have a tapered, conical shape and grow to approximately 12 cm (5") long.

Fruits are typically harvested while bright yellow, but they will continue ripening to orange and eventually crimson red if left on the plant. With a moderate heat level of approximately 5,000–10,000 SHU, Hungarian Hot Wax delivers plenty of spice without being overwhelmingly hot.

The compact plants grow to approximately 60 cm (24") tall and perform well in both garden beds and 3–5 gallon patio containers. The peppers are especially well suited to pickling, either sliced or left whole.
