Poppy - Pizzicato (Seeds)

Pizzicato Oriental Poppy is a striking semi-dwarf perennial that produces large, cup-shaped flowers in a beautiful mix of red, scarlet, orange, salmon, mauve, rose, pink, and white.

The impressive blooms measure approximately 15–20 cm (6–8") across and are carried on sturdy stems that stand up well in windy conditions. Plants can produce up to twenty flowers each, followed by attractive seed pods that add interest after flowering.

Pizzicato typically blooms in June and July, helping bridge the gap between spring bulbs and later summer flowers. After blooming, the foliage naturally fades away before returning with cooler autumn weather.

This variety is also drought tolerant once established and deer resistant, making it a good choice for low-maintenance and xeriscape-style gardens.
