Description
Heirloom Vegetable. Variety originated in Germany. Large, rounded red radish growing to 3.75 cm (1 ½”) across or more without becoming hollow or pithy. Crimson skin surrounds a crisp mild tasting white flesh. Very fast growing. A suitable plant for the kitchen container garden. Matures in 29 days.
How to Grow
Sow seeds every 2 weeks in a sunny site from early spring to early summer as long as weather is cool. In some areas a late summer/fall crop is possible. Seed typically germinates in 4 to 6 days.
Planting Depth: 12.5 mm (1/2”). Seed Spacing: 12.5 mm (1/2”). Thin to: 7.5 cm (3”). Row Width: 30 cm (12”).
COMMENTS: Rapid growth is essential for tender tasty roots. Keep soil evenly moist during germination and growth stages for best taste and texture.
