This Nantes type carrot produces distinct blunt-ended roots that average 6-8" long. This is a great tasting, tender, typically coreless carrot with a rich bright orange colour. Mercurio is the original Nantes hybrid carrot.

How to Grow

For best growth, select a sunny location with well prepared deep soil. Sow successive crops 2 weeks apart from mid-spring to early summer. Lay out the seed tape in the desired location and cover with 1/4" of soil. Space rows 20" apart. Keep evenly moist during the 2 to 3 week germination period. Thin seedlings to 2" apart. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers when growing carrots.
