Squash - Tromboncino Zucchini (Seeds)
PRODUCT DETAILS
Tromboncino Squash is a unique Italian summer squash that produces very long, pale green fruits on vigorous, rambling vines. The unusual fruits can eventually reach up to 2 m (6') long, although they are best harvested young and tender at approximately 20–45 cm (8–18").
The flesh is firm, flavourful, and nearly seedless, with the small seed cavity located only at the blossom end. Its mild flavour and dense texture make Tromboncino excellent for steaming, stir-frying, grilling, or pickling.
For straighter fruits, grow the vines on a sturdy trellis so the squash can hang downward as it develops. When left to grow along the ground, the fruits often develop fun, curved shapes.
