Solar Power Sunflower is a bold, eye-catching variety with dramatic bicoloured petals in deep mahogany tipped with bright yellow around a dark brown centre. The strong contrast gives each bloom plenty of visual impact in both the garden and cut flower arrangements.

Plants grow to approximately 1.7 m (5.5') tall with thick, sturdy stems. Solar Power looks especially impressive when planted in groups or mixed with other medium-tall sunflower varieties.

The large flowers are also highly attractive to honeybees and other pollinators, making them a useful addition near crops such as squash and pumpkins that benefit from increased pollinator activity.
