PRODUCT DETAILS

Velvet Queen Sunflower is a striking annual variety with rich copper-red petals accented by golden yellow around a nearly black centre. The dramatic colour combination makes it a standout in garden beds, borders, and cut flower arrangements.

Plants grow to approximately 1.5 m (5') tall and produce blooms around 13 cm (5") across. Velvet Queen is an early-flowering variety, and sowing at two to three week intervals can help extend the bloom period throughout the season.

The flowers are excellent for cutting and look especially impressive when planted alongside bright yellow sunflower varieties for added contrast.
